Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American performer and actress. Best known as the voice of Tiana In The Princess and the Frog The one and only African American Disney princess. Rose was named as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose was the Oscar-winning actress who performed the role of Lorrell on the screen in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose, a native of the United States is an American performer, songwriter and actress. She is most famous for playing Tiana The Princess as well as the Frog's African-American Princess of 2009. The film was recognized as an official Disney Legend in 2011. The most famous of her roles is the character of Lorrell Robinson as the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls (2006) and her performance as LaVerne the Jukebox Ganner from the Starz television series Power. She's also known for performing in theatre, specifically for the starring roles of Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) and for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performer Award was awarded to her as well as Beneatha Youther in the Broadway Remake of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Musical was nominated for her.
