Katarina was born in Staaken on December 3rd, 1965. While she is always looking for new challenges, Katarina Witt explores new areas of work and gains experience in different areas such as production and figure skating. Following 1998's World Championships Katarina Witt ends her successful amateur career at present. Her first trip as a co-headliner as a professional Canada and the US for the next three year with World Champion Brian Boitano. "Witt and Boitano Skating" is a brand new production featuring figure skaters, is popular enough that Madison Square Garden New York is now sold out for the first time in 10 years. From 1993 to 1994, she returned to amateur sports and competed for the third time in Olympic Games. In the US, Canada and Europe she was a star performer on the skating show "Stars on Ice" and "Champions in Ice". She participated in professional international competitions and toured for 10 year as the show's principal figure skater. She is the creative mind behind many of the international ice show productions which she designs, develops headlines, produces and creates with her own production company WITH WITT. The company sets the standard in skating production, producing shows such as "Divas on ice", "Katarina & Friends", Enjoy the Stars" and Winter Magic for US and German TV.
